Visitors from across the pond...

Almost a year ago my roomies and I traveled to England for the trip of a lifetime.
A few friends we met while aboard came to Salt Lake for General Conference in April.
It was nice to catch up with them and hang out for a couple days.

Melissa and I first met up with them at a 31 and older fireside in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
The building and the night were perfect. The fireside... not so much. A little awkward. ha.
(if you wanna hear more about it just ask Melissa; she’ll give you an ear full)
The view of the Salt Lake Temple from the top floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
They were so EXCITED to see this view.
We thought this was kid fingerprints on the window but it turns out it was a bird-print.
We were laughing to hard the security guard found us and informed us they getting ready to close. Boo.
View from the Reflection Pond.
Tanya had to toss a coin for good luck.
This was like take 14. ha.
Carrie, Allyson and Brian
Dinner at Buca di Bepo. One of my favorite places.
They have the best food. This is our Apple Gorgonzola Salad.
I have a weird obsession with it.
Everybody.

Festival of Colors

Holi Krishna Temple
You cant have any of the fun with out the precious “colors."
Small crowd awaiting the second “throwing of colors."
Color EVERYWHERE.
“What are YOU looking at?"
A little grooming

Stopped at the One-Man-Band in Payson for some grub.
You’d be surprised how famished throwing color will make you.
Even after a quick wash in the bathroom using
paper towels and water we still look awful.

Farwell Simon

For Christmas I bought myself a Frog-O-Sphere from Brookstone.
Each tank has 2 frogs, a bamboo plant, living rocks and spring water.
From the moment I got them these frogs were crazy. They would spaz out
all over the tank. Therefor resulting in their names...

Simon (the smaller one)
Garfunkel (the larger one)
Long story short... Garfunkel hoarded all the food thus starving Simon.
It was sad, but I had to fish the little guy out.
Here is the poor little guy.
I was worried about Garfunkel at first, but he seems to have
adjusted just fine.

Miscellaneous Moments

We made these cupcakes to celebrate the Olympics Closing Ceremonies.
Fortunately they were more of a hit then the ceremony.
Me, Cassie and Emily (college friends)
Late February.
Cassie’s husband Billy joined us for a group pic.

Temple Picture Making

Painting the frame

Applying the glue and smoothing it out.
Aubrey and Sir Wiener Schnitzel.
The final product... and our house has 4 of them.
We have so many we are thinking of even putting one in the bathroom. ha.

Valentines Day

The goal was a an all red dinner. ha.

Although this pasta isn’t ALL red its tastes so good.

Cant go wrong with heart shaped biscuits.

I had stuff everywhere.

The end result was worth it.

My roomie and Ashlee and I made chocolate covered strawberries.

SO much fun.
A secret admirer sent me tulips.

End Result: A Happy Kaylin

Wheeler Farm

Feeding the horses.
Peeking into the Pig Pen.
Kaylin: What comes first, the chicken or the egg?
Spencer: I dunno... the goats.
Yee-Haw

Spencer was so excited for the grilled cheese we promised him that he ran to the car.
He was so funny about that darn grilled cheese.
